This brother-sister team has grown to be a new household name with both parents and childcare centers. Forming a company called The Urban Infant Inc., this small start-up has grown to a national brand based on their Preschool Products Reinvented. Their product line focuses on the essential needs of parents in dual income household that rely on preschool or daycare, and the line is secured at affordable consumer pricing. They design "basics" for toddlers - specifically ages 2-6 years old - but focus on designing them better! Nap mats, toddler backpacks, and snack-size lunch boxes are the signature products that have won design awards.

The line is also sold at national retailers such as Nordstrom, Buy Buy Baby, Walmart, and Amazon US and Canada.

Eric and Kelly claim "we love designing products that make a parent's life easier" and have been featured in Real Simple, Parenting, and Working Mother magazines. Although they hold advanced degrees in design and business, they prefer to tout their other qualifications: 1. Eric is a secret decoder card-carrying member of the Cap'n Crunch Club,  2. Kelly works with a Great Dane in the office (think Scooby) 3. Their Tot Cot® nap mat is ranked among the best in the US, 4. Eric can clap his hands freakishly loud, 5. Kelly can do the splits, 6. Eric once bowled a 256, and 7. The Urban Infant was voted one of the "Top 10 Children’s Companies to Watch" by Parents Magazine.

Awards include The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval, Mom's Choice Award, National Parenting Product Award, and Graphic Design USA award for product and packaging design.
